Séjour de recherche d’une chercheuse lettone au CREDIMI
Laura Kadile est une juriste, doctorante à la Faculté de droit de l’Université de Lettonie et chercheuse à la Faculté de médecine de l’Université de Lettonie. Laura s’est spécialisée en droit civil et en droit de la santé. Elle a acquis de l’expérience en travaillant dans un cabinet d’avocats, en donnant des cours et des séminaires à des étudiants, en participant à des conférences scientifiques et par la publication d’articles scientifiques. Le sujet de sa thèse est relatif à la protection des droits des patients dont la capacité de décision est limitée et à l’évaluation de cette capacité en Lettonie.
Laura a suivi, au mois d'octobre 2021, un programme de mobilité de recherche scientifique de haut niveau au laboratoire CREDIMI de l’Université de Bourgogne Franche Comté, dans le but de renforcer la coopération scientifique entre la Lettonie et la France. Dans ce cadre, Laura a participé à l’élaboration de propositions visant à améliorer les règles de droit et à initier une nouvelle littérature scientifique lettones sur la question d’une meilleure protection des patients dont la capacité de décision est limitée. Elle a étudié la réglementation de protection des droits des patients à capacité de décision limitée, de l’évaluation de ces capacités et sa mise en oeuvre en France.
La recherche a été encadrée durant le séjour à Dijon par Hélène Tourard, Maître de conférences en droit public et membre du CREDIMI.
Mg.iur. Laura Kadile is a lawyer, PhD Student at the University of Latvia Faculty of Law and researcher at the University of Latvia, Faculty of Medicine. Laura specializes in civil law and health law and has gained her experience while working in a law office, giving lectures and seminar sessions to students, as well as attending scientific conferences, publishing scientific papers, leading presentations and other seminars. Her PhD topic is related to the protection of patients' rights limited by decision-making capacity and the assessment of such capacity in Latvia.
During the high level scientific research mobility programm in order to strengthen the scientific cooperation between Latvia and France in the CREDIMI laboratory at the University of Burgundy, Laura was involved in the development of proposals for the improvement of legal norms and the development of a new legal doctrine in Latvia for the fuller protection of patients with limited decision-making power, studying the existing regulation of protection of patients' rights limited by decision-making power, assessment of such abilities and the practice of its application in France. The research was conducted by Mrs. Helene Tourard, Senior Lecturer in public law, member of CREDIMI Laboratory.
